SPIN BOLDAK, November 14 (PNS): Uzbek warlord Abdul Rashid Dostum on Tuesday announced the new cabinet to run the war-torn country's affairs after the Alliance forces' captured the Afghan Capital.

According to our special correspondent from Spin Boldak, the new cabinet was announced by Dostum immediately after taking control of Kabul.

Former president Burhanuddin Rabbani was announced as the President of Afghanistan while General Muhammad Qasim Fahim, who is leading the Northern Alliance after the death of Commander Ahmed Shah Masood has been appointed as the defense minister in the new Afghan cabinet.

Furthermore, Northern Alliance sources told PNS that Dr Abdullah would remain as the foreign minister while the post of interior minister went to the Younis Qanooni.

About Abdul Rashid Dostum, however could not confirm what role he would play in the new set up.

Contrary to speculation, former Afghan monarch Zahir Shah seemed nowhere near to make it to the power corridors.

The NA cabinet list suggests that he has no role to play in the future Afghan government unless the allied forces intervene.

End.
